Regent Reactivates Isolation Locations in Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands Regency reactivated several isolation locations in anticipation of handling COVID-19 patients.

We will prepare and reactivate it to anticipate transmission cases in the region

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi conveyed, locations that previously used for isolation were schools, karang taruna secretariat office, multipurpose building, homestay, official residence for employees, and Karya Island government offices.

"We will prepare and reactivate it to anticipate transmission cases in the region," he said, Tuesday (9/15).

According to him, some of those locations have been used to isolate residents exposed to COVID-19 from Tidung Island, Karya Island, Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, Panggang Island, Sebira Island, and Harapan Island.

"It is done to prevent self-isolation at home. Thus we ask Gulkarmat Sub-agency to sterilize the area before it is used," he explained.

Regent also reminds people to implement 3M and health protocols in every activities and reduce activities outside the island.

"Reduce activities outside house and island if it is not urgent," he mentioned.
